Mid-2019 Status Report

Well now that 2019 is more than half over, (a fact that is, frankly, shocking), I thought it would be a good time to get a post up on the ol’ blog about what I’m up to these days. I’ve officially been a freelance writer for about 9 months now, and I’m happy to say that it’s going really well. It’s a little strange not having a single job to report to people when they ask “what I’m up to these days,” but the variety definitely keeps things interesting.

In the mobile space, I’m the writer for projects at WayForward and Jam City, which has been a really fun new muscle to stretch - Heavy on dialogue and light-touch storytelling, not so much on complex character arcs or twisty plotting. Additionally, I’m writing something for King that is a bit more narrative heavy and definitely one of the bigger challenges I’ve taken on lately. Looking forward to having more to share about all three of those soon.

On the other end of the spectrum, I’m super fortunate to be working with some very cool teams on a pair of bigger projects that I’m still absolutely sworn to secrecy about. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to share more about both in the near future.

Onward and upward!
